Scientific Advisor - Medical Communications

Salary: £Competitive (dependant on experience) + excellent benefits

Location: London, Oxford, Knutsford, Brighton or Manchester. We will also consider fully remote.

About the role

As a Scientific Advisor you will be a senior member of the editorial team with a breadth and depth of experience across all core project types and multiple therapy areas. Aligned with one or more key accounts, you will be an integral member of the account teams and work closely with the editorial lead and client service lead, providing scientific leadership and delivering/overseeing scientific excellence. You will be comfortable reviewing work from a strategic perspective, beyond client-defined scientific communications objectives. What you''ll do

  • Provide scientific leadership across multiple accounts

  • Research, write, edit and prepare high-quality materials and apply understanding of publication processes, including compliance and ethical aspects of working with experts and the pharmaceutical industry

  • Editorial project management and financial input

  • Client relationship management

  • Identify scientific gaps within accounts and provide recommendations for development and training

  • Provide constructive review of medical writers'' work

  • Anticipate client''s strategic/scientific communication objectives, as well as applying them

About you

  • Ideally 3+ years'' medical communications agency experience

  • Higher degree in the life sciences; post-graduate qualification highly advantageous
