Senior Strategist

Senior Strategist – TBWA\WorldHealth London

About the Role

We are looking for a new strategist to become an integral part of the TBWA\WorldHealth planning team. This person will elevate the work, develop junior strategists and work on some of the most important healthcare brands and products in the world.

We’re a global department full of disruptive thinkers. Disruption is central to TBWA\WorldHealth and we want to evolve it further for the modern, emerging world of healthcare. Our strategists are central in this evolution process. The senior strategist will report into the executive director of strategy and will have the option to mentor and guide our less experienced strategists if they were excited by doing so.

About TBWA\WorldHealth London

TBWA\WorldHealth London has had a great couple of years. We’ve seen continued strong growth in a difficult climate and are set to grow again over the next year. The company currently has 60+ employees, working across oncology, neurology, rheumatology, inflammatory disease and haematology, plus a few more. Around 70% of our accounts are global; all are strong in creative and TBWA’s Disruptive® strategy.

With a genuine focus on quality and a real investment in training, we have a great personal development program. Combined with a supportive, friendly environment, we do our best to help people grow.

Despite working remotely since COVID began, there’s still a real sense of community that everyone tries hard to maintain. There are also regular (mainly outdoor) social meets, as well as regular all-agency online events (both formal and informal).

There is no expectation of significant travel with this role. However, occasional travel to Europe and the US will be required. Whilst we aim to maintain an office-based culture, flexibility is something we value in respect to working from home when it works for all involved.

Skills and Abilities

  • A desire to be a driving force within the London strategy team and closely aligned to the wider global strategy team we are part of. This person will also have the option to be a part of the management team in London, seeing and inputting on the agency’s development. We are a very collaborative group.
  • We’re looking for an experienced and exciting senior strategist who not only delivers quality work efficiently but wants to grow to be a leader, internally and externally.
  • Someone who not only wants to deliver on their allotted accounts but loves proposing new things and finding new ways for our business to thrive.
  • Will ideally have a variety of expertise across the ‘strategic spectrum’, from insight generation to core brand deliverables (positioning, messaging, and channel planning, to name a few). You will also have a real passion around guiding creative – we are a very collaborative office and welcome strategist’s input and direction on all things.
  • We are looking for a ‘leader from the front’ – comfortable designing and running workshops, live or virtual, and someone who jumps at the chance to be front-and-centre with clients.
  • You will need to understand and value digital, from supporting upfront analysis and analytics to the deployment of creative in the right time and right place.
  • Leading on key accounts ranging from oncology to migraine prevention – but allocation of work across the department is currently under consideration and could also include some exciting opportunities in haematology on our Sobi accounts. Naturally pitch opportunities will be key for you to lead too, as appropriate.

Omnicom Health Group is committed to hiring and developing exceptional talent. We agree that talent is equally distributed, and we’re focused on developing diverse teams that can bring the best solutions to everything we do. We strongly believe that celebrating what makes us different makes us better together. Join us—we look forward to getting to know you.
