Job Title: Senior Medical Writer (Key HealthcareAccounts)


Reports to: Associate Medical Director


Department/Division: Springer Healthcare UK


Location: Chester or London


Due to exiting expansion and growth, Springer Healthcarerequires a Senior Medical Writer to work on VIP Healthcare Accounts. You willbe responsible for the delivery of high-quality, engaging editorial content andthe development of attractive proposals. You’ll also be the maineditorial/scientific point of contact, foster and maintain relationships withtherapy area experts, 3rd-party vendors, freelancers and internal stakeholders. This is an exciting and varied role where you will use your  broadscientific knowledge, strong editorial experience and creativity to create innovative solutions for our global clients.


Key responsibilities

     * Manageeditorial aspects of scientific content delivery for key accounts meeting theagreed brief, internal quality standards and set timelines

     *Collaborating with Project Management and global Sales teams take clear andagreed proposals from clients including content, formats, deadlines, authorsand stakeholders

     * Provideclear briefs to medical writers and freelancers and review draft content

     * Act as LeadWriter on accounts

     * Be the mainpoint of contact on matters of scientific content for clients, Experts andinternal stakeholders

     * Applytherapeutic area knowledge to contribute to business development opportunitiesincluding proposals and pitches

     * Participatefully in briefing and brainstorming sessions

     * Providescientific expertise in the development of new business pitches and proposals

     * Attendclient meetings and pitches as the scientific representative of SpringerHealthcare




Line management responsibilities

     * Members ofthe Editorial team (when required)




Travel requirements

     * Internationaland national travel as requested







     * A biomedicaldegree (or extensive equivalent experience)

     * Broadwriting experience in a communications agency, pharmaceutical industry orrelated healthcare industries

     * Comprehensivereviewing experience

     * Managementof freelancers including briefing and communication

     * Ability tocreate good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders



     * A higherdegree in a biomedical discipline, ideally MSc or PhD
