Job Details:

Our client is a leading healthcare communications agency which is seeking a Scientific Lead to join their team in either Oxfordshire or Cheshire, with some homeworking an option. They develop award winning healthcare communication programmes that educate HCPs and improve the management and lives of patients.

The role will involve leading a small editorial team on a Diabetes account, working on a mix of publications, meetings, medical education materials and activities.

The Role:

As a Scientific Lead, you will be working with assigned clients to challenge and shape the pharmaceutical strategies of the future.  You will be responsible for producing quality medical and scientific materials based on cutting edge science. You will review the work of others, whether in a coaching capacity or a more formal line management arrangement. In addition, you will be central to identifying new business opportunities and providing input into proposals and pitches.  Their full service healthcare communications offering and multichannel approach means that there is plenty of opportunity to work on a huge range of projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • You will hold a life science degree, preferably a PhD
  • You will have considerable previous experience working as a medical writer in a medical communications agency or similar environment
  • Previous experience of coaching and mentoring is essential
  • Teamwork and collaboration are key
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a commitment to quality are a must
