Job Details:

My client, one of the UK’s premier medcomms, PR and advertising agencies with a fantastic central London location, are in need of an Editorial Director to lead a team working across a range of medical education accounts.

This business really is distinct to the majority of its competitors in the integrated nature of their work – with big accounts that operate across the various creative disciplines, you are exposed to an incredibly broad range of activity and extremely big budgets. As Editorial Director you will have a great deal of strategic influence, working closely with account handlers in multiple teams while steering the editorial work of your writers.

You will come from a serious medical writing background with substantial line management experience – in return you will benefit from a lovely working atmosphere, excellent hard and soft benefits and a very competitive salary.

  •       A successful and independent full service communications agency (and more!)

  •        Collaborative,supportive and entirely non-siloed environment

  •       Wide ranging spread of work across many therapy areas

  •        Interesting mix of long standing global pharma clients (20+ year relationships) and smaller biotechs

The Editorial Director:

  •      An MSc or PhD in life sciences

  •       Significant line management experience

  •        Advanced knowledge/expertise of the principles and practices of medical communications, especially editorial: regulations, current events, trends and issues; and compliance regulations and their impact on the industry, on the agency and on their clients

  •       A problem solver - you will be able to handle difficult and challenging assignments and break down complex scientific concepts into engaging communications

  •      Excellent writing and presenting skills, alongside both a strategic and creative mind
