Background:


The Digital Editor supports the Applications Development team by providing high-level editing, proof reading and quality assurance of projects (e.g. client and internal websites, apps and other digital applications) delivered by the Applications Development team.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the content of all projects is to agency and Nucleus Global quality standards (e.g. grammatically accurate, correct spelling, meets client style, format, branding guidelines, etc.).

  • Works closely with developers to upload content sourced from agency teams into a variety of digital deliverables via the content management system.

  • Reviews content once uploaded to ensure formatting and layout is correct, and liaisies with developers to resolve any errors that may occur.

  • Tests digital application functionality, so as to ensure thatlabelling is correct, hyperlinks are in correct locations, images are not broken and link trails lead to the correct parts of the site/application.

  • Sets and monitors team quality performance standards.

  • Ensures quality assurance processes are routinely followed by Applications Development team members.

  • Assesses workload forecasts and makes sure deadlines for project delivery are routinely met.

  • Performs job role according to Nucleus Global’s values and behaviours.

  • Ensures compliant working practices at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of editing/proof reading in a communications environment.

  • Experience of working in a digital/applications development environment would be advantageous.

  • Excellent copy editing and proof reading ability.

  • Excellent IT skills; ideally coupled with previous experience of using CMS.

  • Good communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise own work load to meet multiple deadlines.

  • Team player with a flexible, “can-do” attitude
