What we''re looking for

We have a new opportunity for a Digital Developer to design and build websites, responsive web applications, databases, chatbots and intranet solutions, and to input into the wide range of digital projects that we deliver. You will be comfortable with being challenged to learn new technologies, as you will play a key role in exploring, evaluating and integrating existing and emerging technologies into our digital product and service capabilities, creating white-label solutions and technical demonstrations.

You will also be a self-motivated problem-solver with a positive outlook, driven by a passion for programming, enthusiasm for digital technology and a strong desire to deliver excellent digital experiences characterized by great UX. You will be our lead developer, working with other members of the digital team, creatives and client-facing project teams, helping to define, implement and maintain an appropriate technology stack, delivery infrastructure, documentation system and best-practice processes.

 

Key requirements

·      Ideally at least 4 years’ digital delivery experience in a commercially focused environment and preferably gained within a medical communications or digital agency.

·      Degree qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. computer sciences, digital media) is essential.

·     Broad technical experience,spanning fundamental web technologies and standards, server-side languages, databases, content management systems, development patterns, methodologies, tools and processes, API integration, information architecture and UX, is essential. The ability to switch between front-end and back-end development is also required. Native mobile and cross-platform development experience will be beneficial is but not essential.

·     Demonstrable experience in supporting the full development life cycle, from project scoping and technical requirements capture, through design, development, testing and deployment, is essential.
