About the Role:
As a Client Finance Analyst you will be responsible for partnering with other finance team members, Client/Scientific Services teams and the shared service centre in managing and ensuring the financial integrity of client finances. This is a hands on and highly commercial role, supporting the client finance team in driving growth and profitability for the business and to ensure financial controls and policies are in place and are followed.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Producing, reviewing & analysing project spend report on a bimonthly ongoing basis (Time and Costs)
- Project reconciliations & job time transfers
- Assist in reconciliation and upload of financial data to Accounting system – identify errors and correct timely. Ensure systems reconcile and result in accurate client reporting through accounting system. Make correction entries, when necessary
- Client rates responsibilities – amending & uploading to system
- Support on budget estimate upload into Dynamics
- Aiding the weekly finance meetings with account teams – preparing status of engagements, contract/PO status
- Assisting the preparation of and producing Monthly client financial reports
- Supporting the production and submission of client invoices and supporting documentation. Ensure billings in accordance with client contractual terms
- Follow up on all outstanding purchase orders & signed estimates with account teams
- Responding to client inquiries regarding client rates, invoices, reconciliations
- Support in timesheet chasing
- Ability to analyse processes and design and implement improvements
- Assist in Quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley audits of internal financial processes
- Ad-hoc reporting
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Part Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Previous/current agency experience
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Don’t’ be afraid to ask questions and be curious
- Maintain composure and professionalism under stressful situations
- Be proactive in your day-to-day responsibilities and communicate frequently with your managers, and team members take initiative
- AP & Billing experience or a solid understanding of the requirements in these areas
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (AX) Finance system
