Source was founded in 2016 by Directors Juliet Mumby-Croft and David Trueman, and is now a team of 14 health economists, systematic reviewers, medical writers and a statistician, with offices in central London and Oxford. Given the team’s established track record and contacts within the industry, Source is a busy and growing consultancy.

The Directors founded Source to provide clients with technical excellence in modelling and data analysis, deliverables that are transparent and accessible, and a partnership approach to ensure the best possible outcome for our clients and patients.

The role
Due to company growth, we are looking to recruit an Associate Medical Writer to join our in-house medical writing team.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Provide a medical writing resource to the other technical specialists
  • Planning and writing of market access documents and journal articles
  • Bespoke research on healthcare interventions and therapeutic areas
  • Analysing clinical studies
  • Proofreading and editing of written material
  • Telephone, email and in-person liaison with co-authors and clients

Requirements
  • A passion for writing
  • A PhD in a relevant scientific subject
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good writing and proofreading skills
  • A proactive approach
  • Ability to understand clinical data and to grasp new therapeutic areas quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, and able to use Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
  • An understanding of bibliography databases, such as EndNote, would also be desirable
  • Some background knowledge of healthcare systems and clinical trials would be an advantage
