Job Details:
Are you a first-class communicator who is passionate about improving the lives of patients through scientific communications? If so, medical writing might be the career for you…

We’re looking for high calibre, well-rounded, aspiring Medical Writers, to join our award-winning, training programme, allegro.WRITE.

allegro.WRITE: learn, practice, consolidate, excel
allegro.WRITE is a comprehensive 12-month fast-track entry-level

Medical Writer training programme with personalised mentoring and coaching. Successful candidates join Ashfield Health as an Associate Medical Writer, on a full-time contract. The programme comprises a core-skill training period, followed by two team rotations, each lasting 5-months. During these rotations, as a fully integrated team member, you will build confidence and ability working alongside some of the most talented people in the industry to deliver contemporary, multichannel medical communications solutions that raise awareness of diseases and therapy options. After 12 months, if you successfully complete the programme, you will transition from allegro.WRITE into one of our multi-award-winning account teams as a Medical Writer.

What experience do I need?
To be considered for the role you must have a 2:1 in a Life Sciences degree. No previous writing experience is necessary: we provide extensive training, development and mentoring. As one of our writers, you’ll benefit from a clear path for advancement, diverse project work, very competitive salary and benefits, and opportunities to travel the world.

What’s the recruitment process?
You need to apply by submitting a CV and biography; your biography should be less than 500 words and highlight your skills, passions, and relevant experience. Please combine your CV and biography in one document.

Candidates with appropriate backgrounds will be asked to take a formal writing test. Those who demonstrate good core writing skills in this test will then be invited to an in-person Assessment Centre on the 12th or 13th of July in Manchester.

The Assessment Centre will comprise group activities and an interview; there will also be sessions on the day that provide opportunity for you to find out more about allegro.WRITE and talk with Medical Writers who have recently completed the programme. Successful candidates will start the allegro.WRITE programme in September 2022 and be based from either our Manchester, London, Glasgow or Mannheim offices.

Benefits of joining Ashfield MedComms
