Associate Medical Writer: allegro.WRITE

Are you a first-class communicator who is passionate about healthcare? If so, medical writing might be the career for you…..

We’re looking for high calibre, well-rounded, aspiring medical writers, to join our award-winning, training programme, allegro.WRITE.

allegro.WRITE: learn, practice, consolidate, excel

allegro.WRITE is a 12-month, fast-track training programme, with proven results. Successful candidates based in our offices in Mannheim, Germany will join Ashfield Health as an Associate Medical Writer on a 1-year, fixed-term contract. The programme comprises a 2-month, intensive, core-skill training period, followed by two team rotations, each lasting 5 months.

During these rotations, our allegro.WRITE Associate Medical Writers learn by working alongside some of the most talented people in the industry. As fully integrated team members, they help deliver contemporary, multichannel medical communication solutions across a range of therapy areas.

What experience do I need?

To be considered for the role you must hold at least a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree with a major in a life science subject (or equivalent) and have permission to work in Germany. Masters and PhD qualifications in life sciences are encouraged, but not mandatory. This opportunity is also open to people with a life sciences background who are interested in changing careers (e.g. pharmacists).

As one of our writers, you’ll benefit from a clear path for advancement, diverse project work, very competitive salary and benefits, and opportunities to travel the world.

What’s the recruitment process?

You need to apply by submitting a CV and biography; your biography should be less than 500 words and highlight your skills, passions and relevant experience. (Please combine these in to one document)
Candidates with appropriate backgrounds will be asked to take a formal writing test. Those who demonstrate good core writing skills in this test will then be invited to an Assessment Centre on the 28th and 29th September. The Assessment Centre is likely to be online due to COVID-19 restrictions and will comprise group activities and an interview; there will also be sessions during the day to talk informally with Medical Writers who have recently completed the programme. Successful candidates will start the allegro.WRITE programme in January 2022.
