Background: A pioneering, results-orientated, creative medical communications team which is part of a global communications agency has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Medical Writer to join their expert team, based in London. This agency will consider home-based medical writers for this position.
As Senior Medical Writer, you will be responsible for providing high quality educational materials for the pharmaceutical industry and other bodies, with a particular focus on manuscripts. A clear, demonstrable competence in scientific and commercial writing is necessary for this position and the new Senior Medical Writer will target different audiences, enhancing understanding of a range of therapeutic areas and supporting clients by meeting their strategic objectives.
If successful, you will also manage junior medical writers and oversee the scientific accuracy of materials produced. To take advantage of this highly creative and diverse role, you must have a degree in a life science (or medically related subject) and will have ideally been awarded a PhD. Solid writing skills gained in a medical communications agency are vital along with a clear passion for communicating scientific and medical ideas. You must also be able to work across a wide range of printed and multimedia materials.
